The PUBG Mobile Mysterious Jungle mode (also known as “Jungle Adventure”), which gave players innovative and exciting experience, has recently been removed from the game. In other words, this mode was available for 5 days only. The reason for this removal was the fury of a lot of Muslim players all over the world.
The root cause of the problem was a feature in PUBG Mobile Mysterious Jungle mode that allows player to pray in front of a totem so as to restore health. Apart from that, players can also dress up there like repairing the helmets and vests to receive different items. This is truly an insult to the Muslim religion since it is a sin to worship idol in Islam.
These days, the hashtag “Ihdhifou Lo’bat PUBG” (Uninstall PUBG) has widely been spread in Arabic. Not only that, Muslim users around the world also raised your voice on social media representing how this mode hurts their sentiments. This has also incited many Muslim players to stop playing the game.
That is not all, they also claim that PUBG Mobile is not good for children because the game promotes the worship of other gods, going against the “Monotheism” tenet of Islam.
In this situation, Tencent Games sent a sincere apology to Muslim PUBG Mobile community:
“We are deeply sorry that some features in the game have offended some of our players. We respect the values, traditions, and practices of our players and regret the hurt and anguish that we’ve caused. We have removed the distressing gesture and are removing the relevant visuals.”
